For a region this small, the South Kootenay has a suspiciously busy social calendar. All year round the Bailey Theatre has amazing programming from live music, plays, comedy shows and more! Spring brings Beaver Valley May Days followed by Silver City Days – two epic fair’s where something deep fried is definitely calling your name. Summer means Music in the Park, The Gold Fever Follies, RED Mountain bike events, and more. Fall arrives with Golden City Days, Into the Trees Music Festival and The Arts & Culture Festival. Don’t forget about Winter, with the legendary Rossland Winter Carnival and Blizzard Music Festival. Add mountain film festivals, live music, incrEDIBLE farmer’s markets, car shows, community celebrations and more, and there’s usually something happening somewhere.
