Mountain Biking

Along with the distinction of being known as Canada's Alpine City, Rossland is also known as the "Mountain Bike Capital of Canada". Rossland boasts some of the best single track rides on the planet.

When the snow melts and the skis are put away for the season the mountain bikes come out of storage to be tweaked and tuned. Riders start out in the lower elevation rides and follow the melting snow to the mountain summits.

An awe inspiring ride is the Seven Summits Trail. The trail was designated as one of International Mountain Bicycling Associations'  Epic Rides for 2005. The   Kootenay Columbia Trails Society is composed of dedicated volunteers who established, map and maintain the extensive network of trails in Rossland. It is not uncommon to see a spandex clad rider stopped on a trail to make a business deal on their cell phone. It's all about lifestyle. Our recommendation is to ditch the cubicle, hop on your bike and let the fresh alpine air cleanse your soul.
