Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital

The Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH) operates under the Interior Health Authority (IHA) network of health care facilities and serves a population of over 80,000. As Trail is the home of the regional hospital, health care is the second largest employer in the region. Approximately 670 employees work at the hospital, plus 75 doctors. In total the the health sector employs roughly 1,000 people in the various facilities located in the South Kootenay.
