This website is the result of the South Kootenay working with the Province of British Columbia and the Canadian government on an Immigration Pilot Project. The project looks at how Canada and the South Kootenay can provide you and your family with the information, tools and personal assistance to:
- Select the best Canadian immigration pathway/category.
- Choose the South Kootenay as your ultimate social, family, recreation, work and/or business destination in Canada.
- Work your way through the Canadian Immigration process.
- Relocate to the South Kootenay; and,
- Access services and organizations that will help you settle in your new community in the South Kootenay, Canada.
By emphasizing the  Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), the project provides immigrant nominees and their immediate families with faster immigration to Canada and admission to the South Kootenay as Permanent Residents. For this project, Priority Pathways exist for immigrants willing to start a regional business and for skilled workers that have received a job offer from a Canadian company.
