More Beauty

'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder' as they say, but the general concensus is that the South Kootenay is blessed with incomparable beauty. Not just beautiful scenery and towns, but also the people. It is hard to say that somewhere is more beautiful than the next, but if it's heart that makes it so then The South Kootenay definitely has more beauty.

Urban Dweller: I often dream of living in rural surrounds with great vistas. Whilst suburban streets do have charm and interest in their architecture, interesting shops and individual gardens and facades, nothing beats a beautiful country setting.’

SKP: "The moment I arrived here I said ‘this is it’. I’m going to find a way to live here! The beauty of the area, the beautiful people and the sense of community and safety made me forget all superficial ties to the to the city. I now have a great job at the hospital and love the views of the river. On my drive to work the other day I spotted a young black bear at the side of the road and it made me smile for the rest of the day. It’s also never hard to get the family to come for a visit; -they love that they can explore and experience this beautiful place. It is truly more beautiful here than anywhere I’ve holidayed”
