After You Arrive

Once you have arrived in the South Kootenay and have found housing you should take the time to explore your new home. Ask the local Chamber of Commerce for a city map and explore. Take a car ride, take a bus, take a cab or take a walk. The important thing is to know your community.

 

Make sure you read the local newspapapers and listen to the radio to learn about activities and events in the region. You may want to join a special interest group, attend events, take an interesting course, or volunteer your time to allow you to meet people and form bonds through common interests.
